Ask JWOWW: Being Compared

6751803673:Yahoo:photo

Q: My boyfriend is always comparing me to other women.  He'll say stuff like, "Why don't you wear a nice sexy top like that?" or "Why don't you wear your hair in a pouf like her?" What should I do?

A: Let's see, you have two options: 1. Punch him in the mouth; 2. Tell him to stick a sock in it.  The latter is more polite but probably not as effective but I wouldn't recommend the first.  Seriously, why is he making you feel inferior?  If he's your boyfriend, not only should he be building you up, he should truly believe you are the hottest thing since Tabasco sauce.  I would question his motivation.  Is he trying to tell you he's not happy with you on his arm, or is he simply offering to pay for an upgrade—i.e., buy you a smokin’ new wardrobe and some hair extensions? Call him on it.  And if that fails, then point out some Guido with a six-pack on the dance floor and say, “Why can’t you have a body like that?”  If he can’t take it, he shouldn’t dish it out.

i say dont change urself for any man. as long as u like urself for who u are and how u are thats all that matters. Whoever u r with should like u all the same and if they dont then u dont need them. EVERY WOMAN IS BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER THEIR WEIGHT, BREAST SIZE, OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL AS LONG AS WE BELIEVE IN OURSELVES.

shew I guess Im not the only one that has this problem... my boyfriend does this all the time weather its on tv or someone walking by he lets me know there very interesting to him and I get so mad and he just says baby you know Im joking and when I do try to come back with something he gets mad and it does me no good. I really have no self confidence and yes he knows that and I have to bring it up to him before he will say Im pretty and it would be nice for my boyfriend to tell me Im pretty every now an then. And as I read this I guess Im stupid for trying.... Any advice?

    Jenny,

I guess I can start it this way, I am really feeling down about the way I dress. I am constantly told by a member of my family "Why don't you where clothes like her?". This person even told me when she was at church people were talking behind my back about it, now I'm embarrassed too. It is really hard for me to clothes shop sometimes for 2 reasons; 1. I am overweight (to be really blunt, it's my stomach area only... been that way for years!) and 2. I am so so nervous about buying things cause I don't know what people will say next. Well, there is this guy I like and he is flaming hot! I want to dress to impress this summer when I go to see him. I don't want to wear my usual clothes, my leggings and a black top (99.9% of my wardrobe is black). Can you give me some tips Jenny or suggestions? I really need you help on this, you have such a fantastic sense of style.

    Dear Jenni,

Ive been having boy problems for 2 1/2 years now, there's this guy that I loved for 2 1/2 years now and he's really popular and I'm not so popular and he plays me and says he made out with my cousin. He's always like your so hot, I love you and he says it in a sarcastic way and he doesn't like me and I can't help it but like him and I'm really confused because every time he says he made out with my cousin I always get mad and sad at the same time and he just does it more and more to me and I always ask my cousin if they ever made out and she always ignores me and it gets me more and more suspicious, mad and confused so could you pleese help me?! Your my only hope !):
