The Routine: My Eating Habits

When I decided to get healthy right before the New Year hit, I did it all the way. I don’t like doing anything half-ass so I’m gonna share my tactics with you all…

First off, I kicked smoking and caffeine. If anything comes in a can, it just ain’t good for ya. I try to keep that rule of thumb.

I’ve changed my diet too. On a typical day, I’ll eat an egg-white omelet full of vegetables with a slice of wheat toast and coffee on the side for breakfast. For lunch I’ll eat a salad with grilled chicken, avocado, walnuts and blue cheese. Dinner would probably be pieces of salmon or tuna sashimi, a spicy tuna roll and miso soup. My snacks between meals include steamed broccoli with mozzarella or a vanilla protein shake with peanut butter and banana.

 If you’re not sure what protein shake to drink, then here’s my recipe:

• 2 scoops of a 150-200 calorie high protein low carb low sugar vanilla flavor powder
• Water
• Dehydrated peanut butter (a must)
• 1 Banana
• Ice

It’s all about balancing. I eat my junk food too, but then I burn it off at the gym the next day.  You have to keep at it and you will see results.

    I just quit smoking a week and a half ago!!! Woo hoo!!! I had tried sooo many times but I'm actually doing it this time! I have to because of some health issues. It's totally a mind over matter thing once you get past the first few days.

    I am going to start a new workout plan and Zumba and i was going to try Zantrex 3 fat burner do you think that Zantrex works?

    I've been working out every day at the gym after work.
    Breakfast would include an English muffin with an egg. Lunch I always have a sandwich, either turkey, ham or tuna. I'll have an apple on the side. For snack, I have a fruit or nuts. Dinner ranges, so tonight I had a healthy salad with tons of veggies and light with the dressing. To curve any cravings, I have fat free jello in the evenings before bed. And lots of water! Thanks JWOW for your input!

    Jenni, How do you have your coffee to save calories? I always end up with about 200 extra calories just in my morning two cups of coffee. Any tips? Thank You
