Today I thought I’d answer another question from a reader…

Q: Hey JWOWW ...I was just wondering if u could help me out... I like this guy and he likes me back… but he's afraid that he'd just get too distracted from school if we dated...so I'm wondering if I should just move on or wait.

A: Hmm… this guy still has a little bit of growing up to do. It sounds like he’s a smart guy – school is important. But you don’t wanna waste your time on someone who isn’t going to commit to you, or WANT to make the time for you. That’s a sign the two of you aren’t on the same page, so what’s the point? I say don’t write him off completely…to be honest, that line sounds a little like an excuse to me, but since it’s a good one, it’s kind of hard to hate the guy. You’re young, so I say go find yourself someone man enough to want you NOW. You never know how long you’d be stuck waiting, and if anything, it might make him realize you’re a distraction he wants.

Hey guys. Kids aren’t the only ones that don’t like to eat their veggies… it can be hard to make sure you get your greens in, especially because you gotta prepare them and crappy food tastes a lot better most of the time. But you will always feel a lot better once you do and the experience doesn’t have to be entirely miserable.

Roger and I will make asparagus a lot and this recipe is the tits! To make it like we did in the photo above, you just steam it and add oil, tomatoes and onion. It’s really good on the grill too!

What’s one veggie that you like to eat and how do you prepare it?

P.S. Grilling and cooking with your man is a great bonding activity, and you’re eating so it’s obviously fun too!

He's so happy!

Saying that I love animals is an understatement…straight up, Bella and Noel are my little babies. So as a pet person I’ve always felt it’s important to look out for animals in general and try to help out where you can.

I know the word “volunteer” is sort of intense and that it’s hard/scary to make a regular commitment to an organization. But there are actually a lot of easy things you can do that don’t require that much work or time at all. Here are three that are definitely doable:

1. Follow rescue sites on Facebook and “share” the dogs that they put up on their page. Just clicking that button can help an animal find a home that it really needs.

2. Donate things you don’t need to an animal shelter. Old blankets, towels, newspapers, old toys, leashes, collars, etc. are all things they can recycle again.

3. If you have some free time, a lot of pet charities have volunteer pages where they list events that they need help with. You usually can pick and choose with these and don’t have to make a weekly pledge or anything like that.

You don’t have to wife-up with an org. to make a difference and have some fun. :) And who doesn’t love adorable animals?!

Some crazy number of relationships start online these days. The web is a completely different type of place to meet a person, so this dating scene definitely requires its own set of rules. Here are a few of them:

• Use a recent photo. Don’t use some old, out of date photo that doesn’t actually look like you.

• List your ACTUAL body type, not the type you wish you had. If it works out with this person, he or she is going to find out the truth sooner or later. Same goes for the rest of your physical descriptions – just be you.

Don’t let this happen

• Don’t complain about online dating to someone you just met via an online dating website.

• Keep your dating profile short and get to the point. It’s not a diary or blog…it’s a dating profile.

• Don’t send those “winks” to people. That is so lame and you don’t want to give off a creepy vibe.

• Adjust your game – you can’t play hard to get online the same way you can offline. You’ve got to be a lot more up front in this kind of environment, and flirting and sarcasm are much harder to read when you’re not face-to-face with a person. So if you’re interested in someone, respond to their messages and be honest about your intentions. If you’re not interested, don’t waste anyone’s time by leading people on.

HELL NO!

This is a pretty big topic to tackle, but seeing as it’s almost summer, it had to be addressed. Fellas, if you’re going to let your feet enjoy the fresh air in all their naked glory, there are a few rules that you’ve got to follow. From the type of sandal that you rock to the way your toenails look, there are wayy too many opportunities for chick repelling to leave this ballsy look to chance.

Here are a few of the dos and don’ts that females everywhere are begging you to keep in mind…no matter how nice you think your toes are. (Odds are they’re disgusting!)

DO groom your feet a little ahead of time. I'm not suggesting a full-blown pedicure (although plenty of guys get them), but cleaning your feet every now and then isn’t hard. Use an old toothbrush to scrub a little and clip your toenails if they look more like talons. (You should always do this, but especially if you’re gonna wear sandals.)

DON’T wear anything with freaky straps, velcro, multiple buckles, etc. You look like a scientist or socially awkward. Same goes with anything “chunky”…no.

DO take care of any smell beforehand. I don’t care what you have to do, but no freaky scents should be traced back to your feet. It will be embarrassing and girls will run away.

DON’T wear your sandals to take us on a date, out to dinner or any other occasion where we’re trying to look nice for you. Ditto for work…It’s too casual.

DO replace them if they get too nasty after a summer. Sandals are cheap, throw them out.

And finally, DON’T, I repeat, DON’T wear socks with your sandals. Unless you never want to smush again.

The F-ing WORST

In the end, you’re best off if you remember to keep it clean and keep it simple. Basically, just try to draw as little attention down there as possible.

Every bartender has his or her own specialties, and this is one of mine. It may go down smooth, but it’s anything but gentle…drink responsibly!

Lemon-Drop Martini/Shot (Enjoy either way)
From The Rules According to JWOWW

Ingredients:
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce triple sec
2 ounces margarita mix

Directions:
Swirl sugar and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker until completely mixed. Add ice cubes, vodka, triple sec, and margarita mix and shake well. Strain into a glass and serve.

There’s no doubt that guys love video games, but what if you’re dating a dude that is REALLY into his video games? If you're in a relationship with a gamer, you can either fight it or embrace it. The key is to go along with the flow just the right amount. You want to be able to have fun with him and his buddies and for them to give you the stamp of approval, but you both need to know when it's time to put the controllers down.

Here's what you can do if you're dating a gamer:

1. Embrace it – You’re not going to change him so either learn to love it, or let him fly.
2. Play along – I say pick up a joystick and get in the game or kick back and watch like it’s a movie.
3. Play by the rules – Let him know that it’s okay to play video games but you are a priority. Plan weekly dates where you are both out of the house and away from the console.

Spring is in the air! If you've been cooped up all winter, you really should start having some fun...and we want to come with you!

Here are a bunch of different activities that you and your pup can do together. Mom, Noel and I may not be the most "outdoorsy" girls, but we think we included something for just about everyone. Here goes!

A trip to the dog beach! There are a lot of activities to do there. Or you can just do what the beagle is doing. That looks nice too.

You can take a dog walk for charity. That way we can have fun and give back at the same time.

For the social butterflies, try making friends and playing outside at a dog park.

Cocktails! Lots of fancy hotels and even restaurants will let us in these days. It's 2012!

Road trip! Show us the world.

The great thing about sex on the beach is that it’s usually passionate and spontaneous, which often means you’re not really prepared for the situation. You don’t always have a blanket, and sand in your special places can be as painful as smushing sandpaper.

Hey guys. I got another message from one of you that I thought deserved some attention and I wanted to talk about in a blog. It’s a question from a reader on how to be more confident. She mentioned that she’s been bullied and made fun of and wants to regain her confidence and feel beautiful again.

Well, for starters, you are already beautiful. Seriously, who is to tell you that you aren’t? You are, and that’s THAT. Feeling confident and having swag is a vicious circle, trust me, so believing this is step number one. If you have confidence it shows, and the actions of you and those around you back it up. If you feel down about yourself, people (especially guys) can smell that from a mile away and take advantage of it. So stay strong and confident!

I may have a lot of confidence, but it sure as shit isn’t because I've never had anything bad said about me. The truth is that haters are gonna hate no matter who you are or what you do. Period. Accept it, and then move on. Once you know you can’t change them, it makes it a lot easier to forget about them. At the end of the day, you gotta look out for you and do what’s best for YOU.

So if you’ve been hanging around with people that make you feel anything but great, leave those losers behind and find a new crew. Take care of yourself and do what makes you happy. It sounds lame, but remember that you bring something to the table that no one else does. And if you’re unhappy with your look, try changing up your style or getting into a new routine… There’s a reason why the main chick in every movie cuts her hair or all of sudden starts caring about what she looks like after bad shit happens – it’s important to feel good about yourself and sometimes all it takes is a little change.

The most common mistake seems to be sending a text to the wrong person on “accident.” The best advice I can give you is to double and triple check each text before you send it, especially if you’re playing the field. You don’t want to send the wrong text to the wrong girl or guy.
